We make apple butter every October the old way, outside in a copper kettle over an open fire. We can’t sell it, of course – the health department would have a fit – but we can make some available to you in exchange for a suggested donation to the group!
The Mountain Folk Festival:
Held each spring since the 1930’s, this event is one that our local dancers and those who come from out of town look forward to with great anticipation. Find out more here:
Every year, on the Saturday closest to Valentines Day, we sponsor a ball in the English Country Dance tradition, complete with fancy dresses, delicious hors d’oevres, fantastic live music, and a ballroom decorated floor to ceiling with satin hearts and little cupid cutouts.
